Your Fitting Team

We go to a lot of trouble to get the information we need to make an accurate fitting recommendation. Unlike most other Clubmakers, we have designed our business model to include working with your own PGA golf professional. This is because we believe that your teacher should be involved in your clubfitting process. Who knows your swing better?

If you don't have a current relationship with a PGA golf professional, we are quite capable of making expert fitting recommendations based on receiving detailed written information from you and consulting with you over the phone. Preferably, if you live in the Bay Area, you can come to Palo Alto for a personal, custom fitting session or we will come to you. After conducting a fitting, we might recommend that you rent a set of our demonstration clubs to test under playing conditions on your home course.

We might also recommend building one or more test clubs to try out before finishing an entire set. The only way you will ever know how a particular club feels it to hit it. We think that fitting should be conducted outdoors. Many club makers prefer to fit hitting into a net and letting the computer predict the ball flight. It is clearly easier to fit indoors, much less confusing when you don't have to see your bad shots. However, we firmly believe that at least for better amateurs, there is no way to properly fit a club without seeing the ball flight.
