Superior Metal Technology (SMT) is a company founded on the principle of high quality. The founder has been an importer and golf products distributor for years and became frustrated with the high return rate on Chinese product so he started his own company and hired his own inspectors in China to make sure that each and every head meets specifications.

The company's original marketing was aimed at the long drive contestants who can cave in a face with a couple of swings. SMT product is now becoming better known among custom club makers and reaching a wider audience. We have tried all of the SMT designs and have chosen the Shinnecock and the Gleneagles to stock.

The Shinnecock is a 360 cc head with a pear shape reminiscent of the Titleist 975 series but in no way is it a copy. The face is slightly closed, which we find to be an advantage in the larger heads. The Gleneagles is reminiscent of the Taylor Made 360 once again, without being a copy. We have some very satisfied customers using the Gleneagles.
