Custom Shafts
The "heart" of any golf club is the shaft. You know that we believe that technology can provide "breakthrough performance". We are most interested in graphite shafts. The value of graphite has been well proven in woods, but is still yet to be widely recognized in iron shafts. We have tested a wide range of graphite shafts for irons and have determined that Apache is the best for custom club makers. If you plan to buy a new set of irons this year, we highly recommend fitting them with Apache MFS (for Master Fitting System) 115's or 40+'s. We will discuss other possible choices with you.

For woods, the choices are much wider. This undoubtedly has to do with the popularity of graphite in woods going back several years. The category is simply more developed. Our current favorites for woods are Accuflex and Harrison.

Finally, there is an "undiscovered category" in steel. This is the very lightweight range. The Nippon Shaft Company has distinguished itself as the premier supplier of ultralight steel shafts in the world. They are currently only available in Titleist OEM clubs in North America. Through CalGolfTech, you can have SST PUREd ™ steel shafts installed in your clubs or fitted to our own custom clubs.
