The Fitting Process

The Fitting Sequence
If you come to Palo Alto, or we come to you, the first step in fitting is going to be to find out your swingspeed, the carry distance of every club in your set, and how well you strike the ball. We are going to "blueprint" your current set of clubs, so we know exactly what you're playing with.

We utilize the electronics that are embedded in the Callaway fitting system that is new for 2002. We feel that a fitting should be conducted outdoors, at a range so you can see the ball flight. We also feel that you should be hitting off of grass if at all possible, because you play off of grass. Unfortunately, sometimes that's impossible. We will also ask you some questions from a brief interview form that will help us understand your playing goals and equipment preferences. This first step requires about an hour.

After we know how you play, what you're currently playing with, and how those clubs perform for you, we will be ready to finish the fitting sequence. The total time required for a fitting is two hours. We charge a fee of $100. We hope that you will buy your clubs from us, but we will happily supply you with the written results of our fitting together with our recommendations if you want to buy your clubs somewhere else.
