Vintage Blades
Ballesteros Commeratives
We don't usually like "commeratives" because
they were usually just made to suck extra money out
of collectors and speculators. What good are clubs that
were not made to play? It didn't work for the speculators.
But these are one of the all-time nicest blade shapes,
even if they were made for the collectors. Very thin
muscle back design. Numbered. Limited Edition of 1000
distributed in North America. Another 1000 was made
for the European market. Great to play with, but it's
going to cost you the collector value.
The full sets include a 1-SW and 1,3,5 Persimmon woods.
The shafts were all X-100. The full sets are getting
quite scarce, we haven't seen one sell for several months.
When they do sell, the prices range from $500 to north
of $1000.
Occasionally, broken sets show up for a few hundred
dollars.
